Stem cells just discerned
28 January 1999, to N-HEXA.
I read that the finding that mice neural stem cells transported into bone marrow churned out blood cells is an "unexplained transformation".
Does not each and every cell in a cellular-cluster life-form contain ALL the genetic material but expresses ONLY the portion of the genes uniquely required (planned, instructed) in its location/function? May not this be especially so in the case of stem cells ?
In my conception of Intelligent Cellular life the stem cells are "young spaceships" seeking a suitable location in their "spacestation" for joining with the other cells of the cluster, to enjoin the symbiotic colony.
